Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce
DiscID: ULUS10416
ImageID: 1796.01
Version: v0.7.6-5-g0676429
OS: Windows
Notes: Game using external loader, which runs main executable from USRDIR/MOMUSOU_ReleaseENG.prx. Using UMDGen place it as EBOOT.BIN to get game working on PPSSPP. Without Buffered Rendering ingame looks better.

RE: Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce
Any idea why they are using external loaders in some games, do you think its to combat piracy?

RE: Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce
I don't think, that it's main purpose to fight piracy. Wink For example, in Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest loader used to show few intros at startup and to choose user, which game mode to load - SP or MP. I rather think, that functions, which those loaders using still not fully implemented into PPSSPP. Wink

Goes to show how much I know, maybe while the PPSSPP emulator loads up a game, in the future it could check to see if there is an external loader attached to the game, then run it from that point instead if that's indeed possible to tell.

Funny this doesn't work but Strikeforce 2 works and runs pretty nicely.

You have to modify the iso with UMDGen, replace it MOMUSOU_ReleaseENG.prx
to Eboot.bin

RE: Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce
I wonder if its possible for the emulator to check for certain game ID's, like this one & instead of starting the Eboot.Bin, tell the emulator to search for & load the MOMUSOU_ReleaseENG.prx - in this case, getting around this external loading problem.

For example in the ppsspp.ini we could include these following lines.

External loader=Yes
Disc ID: ULUS10416 - LOAD - MOMUSOU_ReleaseENG.prx
Disc ID: UCUS98620 - COPY - Eboot.bin - main.prx - LOAD - main.prx

Unless there is a easier way somehow?

RE: Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce
I just tried this on the latest builds, and it seems to be working fine (Just loaded my save and walked around though, needs more testing).
May we move it?

-Dual Core locked CPU, Clocked at 1Ghz-1.8Ghz
