Pop up box missing text

Hi everyone, I apologise if this has already been posted.

I’m using RetroArch on my Xbox Series X and it’s working with ppsspp 1.10.3 flawlessly.

However when a pop up message comes up (eg saving a game) the box pops up but the text doesn’t.

Has anyone experienced this? I have attached a photo

Also is there a way to manually update ppsspp to the latest on retroarch via ftp? When I select update all cores it states that it’s the latest, however 1.13 is the latest. I’m not too fussed because 1.10 seems to be ok just this missing text issue
