cwcheat no longer works on 1.13.1

tested on both 1.8.0 and 1.13.1 , cwcheat doesn't work anymore on 1.13.1, using the same cheat file, is there a fix for this ?

here's a screenshot compare both version, top is 1.8.0 version, the bottom is 1.13.1, same cheat same game but 1.13.1 cheats don't work

It may be that some emulator bug was fixed and made the cheat stop working. Cheats target specific memory addresses, and sometimes bug fixes can make games behave more correctly (more like they did no the PSP) and result in different memory addresses being used.

If you want to find out more, it'd help to identify exactly which git build it stopped working in (this can be done by going half way between the versions, it's the mathematically quickest way to find the problem.)

i have no idea it stopped working on which git build but it definitely works on 1.8.0
it stops working on 1.12 and 1.13 i haven't tested on 1.9 - 1.11

PPSSPP suffers from incorrect memory allocation in some games, which ocassionally changes, maybe sometimes fixed, sometimes just improved, either way cheats that were made in a lame way of freezing values at constant addresses in memory will commonly get broken in affected games.

While it would be cool to know what change affected your game's memory allocation, if you don't bisect builds in-between release versions to find out exactly when it started happening, it gives us no information to even guess.
Also there's nothing that will make those cheats work again in new versions and you have a choice between requesting the author of those cheats to update them or find different cheats which were made in a better way that doesn't change every time things get fixed.

Also take note that most of the cheats made in a way that requires update between PPSSPP versions doesn't just stop working, they work, they just patch wrong addresses which glitches your game's memory and can cause problems like instability, crashes or even messing up of your savedata, make sure to restart emulation after disabling them and avoid using old savestates to get rid of those problems even if you didn't noticed any immediately.
