PPSSPP on Chromebook

Recently got a Chromebook and when I run PPSSPP; I get the 'phone', 'tablet', and 'resize' options. When I go full screen, it seems that all goes haywire; I get flickering and most important my framerate goes from ~60 to ~30 or less. I have a late model Chromebook (Celeron N4500 with 4GB RAM) and PPSSPP running 2X resolution that was the default value and all the other values are set to default....Any settings I need to change or any insight will be appreciated. It runs great when I chose 'phone' or 'tablet' option! I even upgraded to the GOLD version....
