Information [Windows] Custom controls on pad
Hi all ! Wink

Since the latest builds, a developer has added the possibility to modify the controls on PC version of PPSSPP, so you can choose which key is assigned to each button ! Smile

But the problem is that I play my games with PPSSPP via a PS3/PC pad and I can't modify the controls in order to assign them to my buttons' pad...

So I found a solution to bypass the problem :

You have to get :
  • Xpadder that you can find here.
  • The latest Windows build of PPSSPP that you can find here.
  • The pad that you want to play with
Here we go :
  1. Connect your pad now !
  2. Decompress "xp53c.rar" that you have downloaded.
  3. Launch "Xpadder.exe" ; you may have to run it in Compatibility Mode : right click on the file >> "Properties" >> "Compatibility" tab >> tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for :" then choose "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" and click on the OK button.
  4. Since Xpadder is launched, you have to configure it by creating a layout and then creating a profile (assigning the controls like you want). At the end, it will look like that :

  5. Now, decompress the Windows build of PPSSPP that you have downloaded.
  6. Launch "PPSSPPWindows.exe".
  7. Click on the "Options" tab >> "Controls".
  8. In front of "Force device :", choose "XInput" and click on the OK button.
  9. Now you can load the game of your choice and enjoy ! Wink

The next time you want to play a game, you just have to follow this order :
  1. Connect your pad.
  2. Launch Xpadder (the layout and the profile are automatically loaded).
  3. Launch PPSSPP.

If you have a problem, read all the posts below : maybe someone have already had the same problem as you, if not don't hesitate to ask me in this thread or by PM ! Wink
