La Corda d'Oro - help with transferring save data between different games

Hi everyone. I couldn't find any info on this kind of issue in the FAQs, so I thought I'd ask here.

I'm playing a Japanese game, 金色のコルダ2ff (Romaji: Kiniro no Corda 2ff) (Lit: La Corda d'Oro 2ff) where I am fairly sure there is a feature where, if you put in save data from the previous game (which I have in the PPSSPP files from playing and beating the first game myself) you can start from the beginning dating the guy you won in the previous game.

This was at least how it worked on the PS2. I might be wrong about the PSP version.

How would I get the emulator to recognize this save data from a different game while playing the next game?
