How do I use my psp as a controller?

How do I use my psp as a controller?
I connected my psp with a usb and booted up the emulator and it didn't detect it like it did with my dualshock 2.

I have an iPega 9023 telescopic controller and all I need to do to use it with PPSSPP is to pair it to my phone. I don't even need to configure it because it already works out of the box, with proper button settings.

With that said, what bluetooth controller are you using?
