Graphics Card Crashing?
Hello,

New to PPSSPP. Playing FFT:WotL. Game runs perfectly....when it works. However, every ~20-40min or so, the game will freeze momentarily, then BOTH of my monitors will black-screen for about 5 sec...then return to normal, with my PPSSPP crashed. No idea what's causing this, but it only happens when I run PPSSPP. I am using OpenDL as the backend on a Windows 10 OS.

My graphics card is a 3080 with a fully updated driver. No idea what's causing this. Any help would be great!

Thanks for your time!

RE: Graphics Card Crashing?
Crashing after use without bad temps or load could mean you have bad VRAM. It's not common, but it does happen. I don't know of a memory test tool for VRAM, but it seems likely one would exist.

For FFT, I'd try reducing settings and see if it still happens. It might mean running out of some resource on the GPU and restarting the driver.

In both cases, I'd try turning off texture scaling and use 1x PSP for a while. See if it reproduces. Additionally, try other backends like Vulkan or Direct3D 11. I would also definitely recommend checking for graphics driver updates.
