Digimon Adventure
So I have been playing the Digimon Adventure PSP game - with translation patch - on my YT channel using PPSSPP and it was bugging me how ugly some of the textures look when up-scaled. So I started looking into trying to make my own HD textures and wanted to share the initial results for some opinions and to see if anyone in the community would be interested in a full texture pack some day. For the first image I have shown the default and how it looks with the PPSSPP's own texture scaling enabled at Max and then what it looks like with actual HD textures.

figured this would be a good place to gauge interest.

These look good. Sorry it was so long since this post was made, but I would indeed like to see that.
Edit: By the way, that recoloring of Yamato's portrait and model to match his appearance in the 2020 reboot is a really cool touch!

thanks dude. Sadly I didn't manage to complete the project but I did get about 2/3rds of the game done. I had posted about it in a few places and there didn't seem to be any real demand so my motivation wanted towards the end.

if interested I can provide what textures I did manage to complete.
it was around 450 textures last time I checked

Sure, that'd be cool. I can unfortunately see why there's not much demand, though; this game does appear to be quite obscure despite being pretty good.

RE: Digimon Adventure
Hi all!

I've been having a look at this project and was sad to hear about the lack of interest, so I decided to start my own texture pack.

As it's just me doing it, I only intend to do a UI texture pack, rather than for the full game. So far I've replaced the opening logos, the main heroes menu portraits and most of the battle UI.

Here's a link to my textures and some screenies Smile

RE: Digimon Adventure
Hi guys, I've updated my texture pack quite a bit since last time -
  • Virtually all Digimon model textures have been upscaled using FSMangaV2
  • Most battle UI textures have been entirely redrawn
  • Many portraits have been upscaled using FSMangaV2
  • Further enhancements in the works!

Here's some more screenies to give you an idea of where I'm at now.

RE: Digimon Adventure
Hello, does this texture pack work, also, with the other unofficial translations released for other languages?

RE: Digimon Adventure
Hey guys, I've been playing through this game with Smokinginferno's texture pack recently. Since it hasn't been updated in awhile, no one has replied, and it is missing alot of textures I have decided to add on to it. If no one objects between now and when I am done with the game then I will release the update here as a reply to Smokinginferno's original post. Hopefully giving fair warning wont get me in trouble.

RE: Digimon Adventure
Alrighty, update is done. Copy/pasta time.

This is an HD texture pack for Digimon Adventure PSP (English Patched v1.1) it is built on top of SmokingInferno's previous release and expands it to cover the entire game.

Here are some notes on the pack:

-Redid all menu/in-battle portraits for the Digidestined and every digimon in the game
-Upscaled and cleaned up many old/new conversation portraits and ui assets
-Upscaled and de-seamed mostly all of the environment textures in the game
-Fixed hashes and removed several duplicate textures from the ini file
-Added an "Extras" folder full of recolors and optional retextures (Black Agumon, Links textures, Xbox Buttons, etc...)

*Most conversation and menu text cannot be consistently upscaled

Install Instructions:
1. Copy the folder NPJH50686 to your PPSSPP /textures folder
2. Enable texture replacements under developer tools
3. Ensure that Screen Scaling Filter is set to "Linear"
4. Done!
