Regarding "Replacing some little miniatures (like mini-maps or some art) with the real image", I've actually tried to do so, by replacing the briefing map textures with the mission map textures. Progress stalled due to lack of engagement/help regarding an issue I had with parsing some of the texts on the mission map textures, as I was trying to modify the text on the maps so that they can be easier to read.
