When you get to a point where some texture isn't displaying try to turn on "save new textures" (don't forget to turn it off to not dump textures nonstop) to see if it generates a completely new entry in "new" folder (unhashed texture) or if it makes an additional folder in "new" and then puts that texture in there (means it's hashed in textures.ini file but a replacement is not present)
