RE: Sega Rally Revo
Guys, good news here. Playable on 0.9.5-1-g3abeb62, on PC.
ULUS10311: Sega Rally Revo

I don't know how to post images but it run smoothly here in my computer. With sky and road displayed correctly. With some adjustment you can have better texture details displayed, and that's what I did. Now it's perfect. With sound, also. And no blue stripes like they mentioned, no, no problem.

windows 7 ultimate
ATI HD 5650
2G memory

Settings:

Rendering mode: read framebuffers to memory (GPU) (CPU also does it)
Postprocessing shader: FXAA
Anisotropic filtering: 16X
texture filter: linear

Do you know if the US version has any compatibility differences from the EU version?

RE: Sega Rally Revo
I don't have this game, so I haven't a clue.

Anyway, it looks like someone already merged this (without waiting to see if the two versions have differing compatibilities? Come on guys.. Undecided), so it doesn't matter now.

I just noticed that my game has a Game ID:

ULUS10311: Sega Rally Revo

And it's different with the EU version you mentioned before, and EU version is the one we are discussing here. So I guess my game is US version and I don't know if it works for EU version.

RE: Sega Rally Revo
Feel free to open up another thread about it if you find that the ULUS version has different problems than the EU one (this thread only has 2 pages, so it should be quick to find out, once you get further in the game).

sorry guys, I said it's perfect on 0.9.5-1-g3abeb62, on PC. Now I found I was wrong.

I found two problems:

1. weird rainbow-like things at left top in some levels, even with upscales 5X.

2. constant flashing black lines on the surface of track, like gaps between textures.

Two images as evidence.

Using Windows (x86) build on v0.9.6-317-g53deef1 - There must be a problem with Nvidia graphics cards as mine does exactly the same as the EUR game, using an USA .ISO.
No difference whatsoever using the Framebuffer to CPU or GPU, purple across the top half of the screen.

RE: Sega Rally Revo
Yeah something different is happening - i'm now trying 9.6.338 - on (cpu) rendering the band of lines are still there - but when on bufferd rendering the road is now showing where it did'nt for me before and without the blue band of lines - all that seems missing on buffered rendering is the blue sky now.

Thumbs Up RE: Sega Rally Revo
Update: On Windows (x86) build using v0.9.6-800-ga95c0f5.
Using the USA game: (ULUS10311)

As you can see on the following screen-shots, the graphics of the roads surfaces are being shown correctly, in-fact a lot more area's now.
But as you can see on the 9th screen-shot, there are parts still not right, as in the sky always dark.
All the menu's show okay as on earlier builds, I believe the very first video just before the SEGA logo is not working, but the audio side of things is top notch, including all sound effects & music. Cool

Please Note: To achieve these graphics in game..........
Turn on Buffered Rendering and turn off Vertex Cache (Stops the road surfaces from flickering).

s

can't fix the black floor on the android version. Any update on this? Does it really work?

Edit - got it to work. Buffered and make sure res is 1 to 1. Apparently that fixes things (same with outrun).

RE: Sega Rally Revo
0.9.9.1-1282 on Android not crashing. [x86/PowerVR/OpenGL 2.0]:
- non buffered render with black roads
- buffered render with invisible cars

But the game is smooth and fast! ^^

For now 0.9.9.1-1392 crashing when loading the race.
I think it's the same bug as Flatout's, cause both of them are from Bugbear.

RE: Sega Rally Revo
Seems to be totally playable if you use OpenGL backend rendering. With DirectX 9 you will get texture glitches.

I'm using same version as OP of Sega Rally Revo and PPSSPP v1.1.1 with OpenGL backend rendering on this one.

Video with OpenGL rendering (look at the desc to find out how it looks like with DirectX 9 rendering)

Also, I'm running Windows 10, 4gb ram, amd radeon r7 250 2gb, intel core i3 3.50GHz
