Basic instructions on Ubuntu (not installation)

Hi.

I just installed this today and I was amazed how easy it was to install and get a game running perfectly on Ubuntu.

The problem I'm having is I can't access any of the emulator functions while it's running. I would expect there to be a menu at the top with File / Tools / Help and so on. I'm basically looking for the savestate function.

I know newb questions like this can annoy people and I'm likely to get someone screaming at me to read the FAQ / search the forum. I've looked high and low for basic stuff like what are the keys, how do you pause, save, exit to menu, etc. Can't find a thing anywhere...

Could someone help me out?
