MHFU Performance problems when using cheats
so i downloaded a big database of cheat codes. I use only auto mark monsters and the health display cheats, nothing else. Game eventually starts playing slower and slower as if on slow motion. If i save game state the speed and fps get back to normal for a short time and then start to gradually drop again. My question is: is it possible the problem is the big cheats database? I will delete all codes and leave the ones only for the 2 cheats im using or it could be something else? Already set up the ppsspp for best performance following guides

RE: MHFU Performance problems when using cheats
Can you be 100% sure the codes are not bad?
Many of PPSSPP cheatcodes tend to be bad. aka they do not only the thing they were made for, but also they break the games.
You need to be more than 100% sure the codes are actually good.
Also. Dont rely on savestates.

Everything is Hitsuzen!

RE: MHFU Performance problems when using cheats
It's not about big database, that's not used for anything, but importing.

Cheats itself shouldn't affect performance either unless your hardware sucks in which case it's because HP display cheat for that game is really oversized and keeps refreshing itself(which invalidases jit hence where the performance issue could arise). If you want to improve performance of such dumb cheats you have to either:
- change the cheat to stop refreshing itself for no reason whatsoever(by adding test code that disables rest of the cheat if cheat is aleady applied),
- disable cheat in cheat menu once it's activated(it should still work),
- increase value in cheat menu for refresh rate(up to 1000ms which will make cheats refreshed only once per second).
