Is my phone CPU Speed or its the ARMv6 Processor?
So i have an ZTE Blade with Elite Blade Rom, rooted and overclocked to 710. On the modern phones (with ARMv7 processors) i have seen videos, that shows allot faster gameplay (example is PES 2013). It runs in almost full speed, but on ARMv6 it runs like 13-17 FPS.The same is with WWE All Stars.
For these who use PPSSPP on ARMv6 devices, please tell me your experience.
I love PPSSPP so much, even if runs slow on ARMv6.

My cousin had that phone, and all though it isn't so bad, it is a low end phone, it has a kinda weak GPU and CPU, as it's ARMv6 but also the stock clock is 600mhz (By overclocking it goes up to 800 I think), so it's normal you'd expect low performance although you have a lot of ram aviable (480 or more if I'm not wrong).

-Samsung galaxy S3 International version - Android 4.4.2
-Dual Core locked CPU, Clocked at 1Ghz-1.8Ghz
-Mali 400MP4 GPU Clocked from 160Mhz to 533Mhz
-1GB ram, boo..

Yes mate yor are right, but i have different version wich is with 3.2 mp camera and 320 or 280 mb ram. When is overclock it even to 748 it restarts on 1 minute automaticly

Im at 1.35 ghz.. very quick but the gpu has to be good also, ie mins a fast cpu clock rate but crap gpu power vr 530... still waiting for a workaround Smile

Yeah.. my cousin had same problems after he'd go over 700Mhz, it's because of the voltages, but I don't think they can be modified... I doubt they'd have bothered putting a voltage table into the kernel

Samsung Galaxy SL/SCL? That's all 1.3Ghz CPU with a powerVR530 reminds me, I had one of these... I know what a pain it can be.

Yeah, but the ram it has it's pretty nice compared to the normal SGS.

why, what is the ram of i9000 ? This has about 480 ish.

galaxy scl has 478 mb ram and i9000 has 512 mb ram.

my bad, im lookin up the ram etc but keep gettin different results.. anyways its good enouphSmile

No, I'll explain, whenever phones say they got, for example, 1GB of ram, when you jse it you'll notice you actually have 800 something.. It's not because it's less than 1GB, is because part of that ram os reserved for some things, like the GPU or Video recording.

So you have 478mb aviable, almost 500, but your total amount of ram is about 600MB, unlike the SGS which has 512MB total and 360MB aviable (more sometimes, if they have a kernel with hugemem config).

yep system ram etc... i know random access memory, temporary stored memory for a program to run, i meant my phones ram is lower than i9003 althouh i could be wrong Smile

Ohhh alright, I though you actually had one of these.

Then your ram isn't lower... Your GPU is indeed worse than the SGS's one, but you got more ram.

RAM isn't even a factor. You won't be hitting max RAM in any way that I can see.

The problem is your weak GPU.

RE: Is my phone CPU Speed or its the ARMv6 Processor?
yep, i think ppsspp only uses about 100 mb of ram.. its a prob with most power vrs. Henrik said hes got a few things in mind to try and fix it. Also im not far off full speed on some games so hope stillSmile Wiith a few more optimizations... I may need frameskip though on some games.
