Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection menu problems

Okay so I recently upgraded from 1.2.2 version to the 1.4.2 version. My only complaint is when I play Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection, the menu screen does not show up in a solid color and is transparent. It's the same when I speak to other characters or am battling. I thought it wasn't an issue until i couldn't see the character's status or magic. Is there anything I can do to fix this? On what hardware? Also, please rather report things like this as issues on github. better chance that they will be seen.

So, another place dual source blending isn't working per Vulkan specs?

What GPU are you using, and what version of drivers? Have you tried updating them and using the latest version of PPSSPP from the git builds page?
