Xbox 360 controller seems to be misbehaving
My controller is fine, just to get that out of the way.
But I have been noticing an annoying thing I can't seem to figure out. When I go to the ppsspp menu and settings and all that, pressing right on the D-Pad also exits one level back out of the menu, as if I am pressing B/◯ or whatever.
I'm confused though cus I went over again and again the controller layout. I even went so far as to change where the keyboard arrow keys were set to circle, square, cross, triangle JUST IN CASE somehow the D-Pad was being translated to arrow keys on a keyboard.

But nope, still doing it. I feel like this is a familiar problem, but I don't know what would be causing it and it's really frustrating and aggravating. I just want to navigate the menu easily.

RE: Xbox 360 controller seems to be misbehaving
Let me see if I understand your problem. You have two mapped buttons in one key? If that's it, just reset the default settings and everything will be fixed, by default, triangle, circle, square and cross are mapped to W, D, A, S respectively, and D-Pad to arrow keys.

Phones: Poco F3 8GB/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636)

PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM DDR4 3600MHz / NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB / Windows 10 Pro

RE: Xbox 360 controller seems to be misbehaving
i dont know how xbox controller but most of them have mode/analog button and what you describe sounds like you mapped buttons or
using ur controller in digital mode and you need to press that mode/analog button

BEFORE MAPPING AND PLAYING

Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller.

Ah, of course it stops doing it right as I post the thread and it goes under review. "Nooo I swear, it only makes the sound when it's going over 30"
Anywho...

No I did not have two buttons mapped to the same input, that is what I was checking, just to make sure it was not. I even removed the input associated with the circle triangle square cross buttons altogether (which were on the arrow keys

From what you say, it sounds like I switched the input from WASD and arrow keys then, as of course I would't want the directional buttons and input buttons the opotiste way around they are from a PSP controller @_@; (Or ANY controller) even if I was left handed and was okay having the movement buttons on the right.

but regardless I took that off and it didn't immediately fix the problem at the time. But now it's stopped doing it right after I made the thread, so I don't know what caused it OR what stopped it, as both happened rather suddenly and with seemingly little cause

I have no clue what you're referring to with digital mode and analogue mode.
Could you possibly explain a little more?
As far as I'm aware I didn't do anything differently, it jsut started happening. and I'm not aware of the Xbox having any obvious "modes".

https://www.sabrent.com/uploads/USB-GAMEPAD-Main.jpg

u see mode button here? some controllers have MODE others have ANALOG button different name same thing

what it does is in digital mode you have only 1 analog working and its locked to 8 directions
in analog mode both of analogs works and both have kinda smooth detection of where you are moving them which is 360 degree

in digital mode some buttons can work as analog and vice-versa that is common bug in window
and what you describe happens to me with some controllers which i have 11 in total

i need to press MODE/ANALOG button to switch it to analog mode since they start in digital mode
but some controllers start in analog mode and then i happen to press that button by accident and im back at digital mode

i assume if that is your case you could press that button and from that can ur problem be coming

maybe its that Xbox button on the center sometimes this button is on the back of the controller but if neither of it is truth and does not solve your problem than im wrong and you could ignore all stuff i wrote here

i dont own xbox controller so i cant tell how it works i just have experience with regular controllers

Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller.

RE: Xbox 360 controller seems to be misbehaving
No, it's an official controller since each and every 3rd party controller I've ever tried to buy either didn't work properly or died like a week in, usually both. And Xbox controllers don't have a mode button. The center button brings up a sorta game menu thing which is a little Xbox bar that is a separate thing from any game and can open on any window actually. If I remember rightly quickly followed by "Is THIS a game?" haha
