well only certain games that really make use of the cpu speed function, well maybe other games has special frequencies like god of war, where it downclock at 60,really help a lot for both android and window, including the hack option also.

my sub weapon:
xperia mini hd
1ghz scorpion
single core
not clocked

my ultimate weapon
acer(laptop)
2.2ghz ?core
intel media accelarator 3000

Yeah, i also read that.. I hope it'll be fixed soon, because it's better without speed hacks.. You know, they fix something, but brake something else.

RE: God Of War Ghost Of Sparta and Chains of Olympus
pretty much it broke something that we have'nt realise, that's why gpu timing fix is the priority also, this emu not like pcsx2 with full of hack, well the old ways is much better than using something like hack.hack just only for temporary solution.maybe later we can fully play this games without using hacking method.kepp supporting the emu is the best ways right nowsSmile

You're welcome, but i don't remember i hepled you Big Grin Anyway, about galaxy tab 7, have you enabled "force game to run at 60 FPS" hack, and have you disabled Buffered Rendering? Also, try enabling Frameskip... I hope that'll help you.. Smile Again, you're welcome Smile

RE: God Of War Ghost Of Sparta and Chains of Olympus
FWIW, I indeed do not like hacks, I think they only cause more trouble and make users have to pick options they shouldn't need to worry about.

But for this game, I'm not sure. After testing it a lot on a real PSP, I found it was rendering ~180 fps in the menu. While we were rendering ~1000+ which was why it was so slow, the fact that it was wastefully rendering > 60 fps means it'll always have worse performance than with this hack afaict.

Would love to be wrong, though.

I am slightly worried this hack could impact sound quality, but I'm not sure, it didn't seem to for me.

Not sure about all games, but it certainly improves the speed on some other games. For example, Star Wars Battlefront 2 now runs at 60fps on my S3, compared to the 25-40fps before I limited the cpu speed to 60. Another game I've tested is Dissidia, but I can't really see any difference since it has always run at 60fps for me.

Exclamation RE: God Of War Ghost Of Sparta and Chains of Olympus
I can confirm that this speed hack does wonders on my Galaxy Note 2.

My current setup is as follows:
Using RedPill Kernel.
Overclocked CPU to 1,800 - 1,920 MHz - Exynos quad core.
Locked no. of active cores to 1 core only.
Overclocked GPU to 733 MHz - Mali400

Downloaded latest PPSSPP nightly build. Immediately noticed a major jump in FPS from 12 - 16 fps to 47 - 55 fps when speed hack was applied.

Managed to get a solid 60 fps when set frame-skipping to (1), but suffered random screen blackouts.

Also one major bug found in latest nightly release, lower half of screen graphics was corrupt. Top half showed full frame graphics, lower half of screen showed corrupt graphics. I initially thought Mali drivers were corrupt, restored stock Mali drivers and installed latest PPSSPP official release, graphics were fine but slow fps since speed hack is not applicable.

Any help/advice with corrupt lower half of screen on latest nightly build is highly appreciated.

Chains of Olympus
On the newest beta(v0.8.1-370)if Buffered Rendering is enabled,I'll get black screen and if "Skip Updating PSP memory is disabled" if you enable Buffered Rendering while you are at the title screen or playing the game, the emulator will crash immediately

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

Batch iso <=> cso converter
