RE: HTC sensation
Overclock your phone and install a speed boost Mod , if u don't want to do all of this just flash a rom with all those features, i think elegancia rom have those features , i have a sensation and i'm getting 34-40 fps on psp games but it's fluid,i have always like 340-320 mb Ram free .(Htc Sensation overclocked to 1.566, CM10.1 Rom,Boost speed mod)

RE: HTC sensation
Yeah do it. I noticed a huge speed increase when I changed ROM/Kernel on my EVO 3D that comes with nearly the same specs.

Well, first have in mind you have a mid-end phone (a very good one though) and with the stock rom and stock kernerl, stock settings and whatever else that can be stock on it lol, its natural your performance isnt the best, but I was kinda looking into it on the XDA forums and the phone is pretty wonderful once you get the right stuff, so search around the XDA forums and as soon as you see stuff you don't understand, search it up, on the forum itself or google it, or ask if you can, even to me although I might not always have the right answer LOL but yeah, everything is there, you just gotta search for it.

Tho, remember that whatever you do is up to you and you're on your own to take the risk, knowing that doing stuff wrong you can mess up, so try to always understand what you're doing before proceding.

-Samsung galaxy S3 International version - Android 4.4.2
-Dual Core locked CPU, Clocked at 1Ghz-1.8Ghz
-Mali 400MP4 GPU Clocked from 160Mhz to 533Mhz
-1GB ram, boo..

Have in mind that AOSP ROMS tend to be faster and more lightweight than Sense ones, so if you don't care about Sense and you can find a ROM that has no bugs because of Sense removal, search which kernels they can take and I'll tell you which ones are tested to be good.

Are you sure it's not due to being a overclocked kernel?
Do you noticed also ppsspp was faster?

RE: HTC sensation
I don't/wouldn't overclock myself, but if you are going to follow this route then do it in small margins rather than seeing a slogan with a selection button by it saying "Press here for maximum overclocking, the speed will blow your mind"... What they don't say is, it'll likely kill your device in the short to long term.

Sadly I have been there, done that, and bought the t-shirt. And it still hurts.... Sad

RE: HTC sensation
Usually, kernels come with ready pre-tested overclocked governors so you won't have to worry at all. My HTC EVO 3D is like that, haven't faced any issue at all, and I doubt I ever will.

RE: HTC sensation
I can’t flash any kernel. When I try to flash SENSE Bricked-Kernel-3.0 Sensation (Pyramid) (Bricked-3.0-v1.4-ics) pops up an error assert (write_raw_image ("/ tmp / newboot.img", "boot. I Tried to flash with ClockworkMod recovery and 4ext recover (even with enabled or disbled option smart flash ) and still the same error. I tried some other kernels too: Sultan-kernel-R17.5-Sense-NO-Aroma.zip and Sultan-kernel-R17.5-Sense-Aroma.zip, Sultan-kernel-r23-NO-AROMA-nO-BCM4329.zip, Sultan-kernel-r23-Aroma-NO-BCM4329.zip and the like to install but I do not see any change except that it will not turn on wifi ... did I do something wrong? my kernel - kenrel 3,0,16-g31a4fc

i recommand you the CM10.1 Albinoman ROm , it comes with an overclocked and optimized kernel , so all what u have to do is flash the rom . and i noticed a big speed boost with it's latest update !! with this rom i'm playing dbz , MH with a good speed , not super fast but good, i think it will be better with future ppsspp releases
