Basically I have a s7 edge and have the most recent version of ppsspp I can connect to it through Bluetooth but I am unable to remap the controls as when trying it doesn't recognize me pressing in and buttons on the PS4 controller ds4 any help and suggestions are really appreciated.

Is your phone rooted? I think with a PS4 controller, your phone needs to be rooted for it to work. I may be wrong, though.
