How do i stop audio shuttering?

So, I've been playing Persona 2: Inocent Sin on PPSSPP and whenever a character talks in a battle their audio is chopped. It only happens when characters talk and use attacks. Other than that, the audio is usually fine. How do i solve this?

Possible solutions are lowering settings or adding some extra frameskip. One of the most common causes of choppy audio is performance that is mostly there but just not quite. I do know with persona 2 that the graphics are definitely more demanding in battles then when running arround the different areas and a ton more then on the maps.
