RE: Final Fantasy IV : The complete collection
I've been having the same FMV issue with .9.5, it worked fine all the way to Agart, then it seemed a 50/50 cyhance on if it played the FMV or exploded.

The airship crash FMV I could never get to play properly. Every FMV from that point on has glitched out and forced me to revert to a recent save, whereupon I switch over to 0.9.1. The text boxes are screwy and impossible to read (I don't know what settings I need to have off or on), but the FMV's play without a hitch.

Since I don't know where the FMV's are, this usually means a crash sets me back a bit, and it's rather frustrating.

RE: Final Fantasy IV : The complete collection
I see everybody has the fmv crash error, I just got it when I got to the part when the airship crashes in the underworld. instead of the fmv I got a garbled screen and then a black screen. I'm using the 64 version of 9.5

To those having FMV crash issues, please upload your saves (right before the issue happens) and provide links for them here so that we (other testers and developers) can figure out when exactly did this issue start and therefore fix it/deal with it much more quickly. I have this game, but I'm at the endgame right now, and I don't have any earlier savefiles that I can use to test this issue.

Thanks in advance.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz

Nicely done. I can reproduce the FMV freezing issue on the latest PPSSPP build using your savefiles (they're from the JP version of the game, and I have the EU version, but the files can be swapped between the versions and they still load properly).

I just went into the airship using your LVL 33 party and dove into the underground world, which triggered a sequence of events that eventually lead to the FMV freeze which can't be skipped.

I'll do some bisecting to see where this began, thanks again for the files.

After some bisecting, it seems like the massive Maxim At3+ merge is responsible for the FMV freezing. (strange but true)

The last build that I have which worked for this game without freezing at that particular FMV (after heading underground from the town of Agart) is v0.9.1-1968-g525ac13

The one right after the massive commit (v0.9.1-1982-g2b11a6c) which incorporates Maxim's At3+ work already shows the FMV issue.

Great!! thanks for looking into this solarmystic (great nickname btw), i was able to bypass this freezing by downloading a pre Maxim at3+ (ppsspp-v0.9.1-1965-g027ba31-windows-x86.7z) ver., i load the game, wachted the crash escene, save game and go to last build and continue playing.

Another thing that had happened for me was the emulator crashing during the Golbez fight in the underworld. When he tries to summon that dragon. It also happens in the tower when that machine from the chest tries to summon a monster into battle. Happened on both 32/64 bit versions.

RE: Final Fantasy IV : The complete collection
I've had a graphical error for a while now which is stopping me from continuing the game. The first time I go to the underworld, you get in fight between the airships and the tanks on the ground, after this you're are to " crash" your own airship. than a cutscene is supposed to happen. Though im my screen i get all these strange line's and than the screen goes black.. Can anyone help me with this? D:

P.S. sorry for the bad english T^T
