OpenGL makes PPSSPP Crash
Help? I don't like Direct3D9 and although using Software rendering fix it, it's laggy. I can probably tell more if needed.

Try upgrading your video card drivers. What video card are you using?

RE: OpenGL makes PPSSPP Crash
I tried to check using run and searching dxdial. Is it Main Driver: ati2dvag.dll?

Edit: By another way of searching, I found Radeon X1300 Series.

RE: OpenGL makes PPSSPP Crash
Oh my, that's ancient.

Unfortunately for you, old "ati" gpu's(anything pre-AMD) had really awful OGL drivers, let's be fair ~ drivers in general.

The only thing which might save you is trying out different driver versions and hoping for luck.
Otherwise d3d backend calls and while in general ogl is ppsspp primary and superior backend, on those old gpu's with really poor drivers it doesn't make much difference, if anything d3d would be faster and more compatible one.

RE: OpenGL makes PPSSPP Crash
D3D makes computer restart itself for some reason, instead of PPSSPP crashing.

Edit 2: Seems like D3D still makes computer shut down by itself.

RE: OpenGL makes PPSSPP Crash
Bump? Does anyone has any idea why D3D makes computer restart?

On another note, I tried to switch drivers(i don't think i did it right) to no avail.

RE: OpenGL makes PPSSPP Crash
Did you try installing Dx9 drivers?
Google "Directx 9 install" and the very first link should be Microsoft's website

RE: OpenGL makes PPSSPP Crash
@Glitch yeah... well - the idea is your graphics drivers are very bad apparently also in d3d.

I would recommend to just give up as that gpu aside from buggy drivers is 10 years old and to make it worse it was already the weakest hardware in it's series the year it was produced in. Even if you would find better drivers that doesn't crash, it would not be able to emulate PSP well.

RE: OpenGL makes PPSSPP Crash
@Accel I'll try that later.

@LunaMoo DX9 emulates my game with little lag, but after a few minutes, my PC just restarts. So i think i just need fixing the restart problem.
