My experience on PSP Street White E1008
I would like to hear did someone buying a white PSP E-1008 street , got back UMD Cover problem and makin noise while holding a PSP(without play UMD disc Games).I found out other game retail shop also got this problem on PSP E-1008 White colour only. The black colour PSP Street is quite solid though. My PSP version is selling for Russian Border, name RU3,i Had noo clued why i got this Version XD(i do strongly believe it is genuine sony product) ,and im living in south east asia, thus this is made in China. The build quality wasnt as great as PSP E1008 Black colour, but overall performance and stability is great, psp respont is quite fast too, even better than my nephew PSP 2000(which is old model.)

Anyway i would like to hear your comment and experience about PSP Street, since this is the Only Genuine And the last Original Sony PSP Avaliable i can get on my country(not including refurbish PSP) ,which is sad Sad Because i think new PSP 3000 Still can easily to find on your country like United State, just my thought. Wink

RE: My experience on PSP Street White E1008
The psp models for Aisa should be 1-Japan 5-Korea 6-Hong Kong and most of SE Aisa 7-Taiwan and 9 - China
E-1008 should be a Russian and former Soviet block countries

Also really only the PSP 1k series (the first ones) should really make a difference in performance since besides some motherboard revisions the main specs didn't really change much between the 2k or 3k or go or street.

Also at least where I live in the US it would be very hard if not impossible to find any new PSP systems though I think Europe might be a little better.

RE: My experience on PSP Street White E1008
1004 - is Europe/india. 1001 -- is US 1002-- is UK and 1003-- Australia

I own a psp 1k series and psp 2k series a broken 3k series and a psp go... all US region all hacked

The 1k is still on cfw 1.5
The 2k is on cfw 5.0m33
And the go is on the 6.39(or what ever is the latest fw) pro

To be honest unless I a ripping disks for ppsspp/psp go I rarely use the 1k/2k psp.

RE: My experience on PSP Street White E1008
Part worn out umd drive (the reason I now generally try to only use my umd based psp systems to only rip disks) and the other part is a loose analog stick. Honestly I could if I found the parts fix both of these issues... but honestly I have enough working other ones that there is little incentive to do so. I mainly keep it since it is a metal gear solid big boss limited edition one and all of my others are just normal piano black.

Ha, the analog stick... Very useful but too fragile !
Hundred of hours of MHFU broke the analog stick of my PSP-3004... and then I discovered PPSSPP Wink

For me it was too much Phantasy Star Portable 2, MGSTongueW, Valkyria Chronicles. Though I probably played more Disgaea 1/2 and other NIS games.... they just don't require the same amount of analog abuse though.

Hahaha im Force to using analog stick on my one of Most Favorite Racing and also Stupid Racing Games:Test Drive Unlimited. Its Soo Limited that we cannot choice using D-Pad to racing, must be using analog stick, which vry hard to control. Thus the control setting is Useless! Angry We cannot change the settings At All! Its just a display of instruction of PSP Controlling ,just cant change!

Im not usually to play racing games using analog stick, especially on PSP,Just felt unconfortable Huh

Anyway i do have an idea for those who got some(new or old) memory card pro duo,we can used those single memory as Specialist store games, the second one can be store music ,movie or even picture, maybe homebrew games will do.Depend how many memory card pro duo we have, somethings like a PSVITA cartidgres or maybe as a UMD Disc,in a easy ways and cheaper ways.Mine using an old memory duo 1 GB from the old walkman phone,as a music storage.
Just curious, will it get damage on memory card if often changing the m.card(not daily). Tongue

RE: My experience on PSP Street White E1008
It shouldn't damage the card..... if the psp street has a spring lock for the memory card that can get worn out.

Before you can do some homebrew (some is officially signed since the keys got hacked) you will need to install custom firmware (cfw) on your psp. As an added benefit though you will also get access to cwcheats on your psp as well which is always nice to have.

Also as far as memory cards go music will be fine (in reasonable numbers) on most MS pro duo cards except for the smallest sizes. Most homebrew wil be fine on 512MB cards (or larger). Videos are best left for 1GB cards or larger (if you planning on a movie or more then 1 or 2 30 min episodes). And PSP iso files backed up from your UMDa (for easier portability) xan be anywhere from less then 100MB to really pushing close to 2GB (well 1.8GB disk size maybe a little bigger if patched with a fan patch) and honestly if you include system files and savegames really a 4GB card or larger is recomended for native PSP games.

Or you could get a microSD to MS pro duo adapter and save a lot of hassle.

Ya,when i first bought this PSP Street, mine was a microSD to MS pro duo adapter. The first time i discover ,is that the adapter is quite easy broken,if not taken care of it,although i had used this adapter with a 16GB micro SD quite a long time, without any problem. Luckily the Micro SD Card 16GB ADATA is function probably Wink

Thus mine PSP Had been hack already, because our country on buying PSP ,sure the shop owner or assistant will install a custom firmware for us.Especially on south east asia country,no one were care about the Original games, because the main reason is those games is too expensive for those develop country Sad ,only if those console were 100% need original games to play, like a PS4,3DS,Xbox 1 and a VITA,and its also one of the reason PSP UMD is that no one are EVEN border to buy and play, they just put the ISO to play it on PSP....Which is kinda sad for those who wanna collecting those original games to play.
