Retested with 0.7.6-1140 debug build with rig in sig.

Same result (just a black screen), but hopefully this attached debug logfile will shed a bit more light into what's happening.

I'm really interested to see what's causing this game to memory system shutdown.
Even if the game doesn't take long until it stops, there are alot of Mutex stuff going on there.
I'd be really interested to know what [Uknown] has to say about it.

The GZIP and Mp3PspThreads use the exact same entrypoint 0x08a5a278(not to mention different stack sizes, though that can be normal)...doesn't that seem odd for a music thread and a compression thread to have the exact same beginning?

GOOD LORD, the game actually boots in the latest dev builds now!

Thank you based [Unknown] for the Io thread commits that made it possible.

The game requires SeparateIOThread = True in the ppsspp.ini file (only available in 0.8.1-1243 and above) in order to boot properly. Very interesting.

Opening FMV plays properly:-

Unfortunately, selecting any option in the main menu after that causes the game to just hang at the Now Loading screen with the following in the debug log console:-

solarmystic, I'm pretty sure this is a result of an accident rather than a fix, to me it's just a result of threads that used to collide (for some reason) now they get launched on a different thread so they can't collide.
Would you want me to test the game for you and Uknown so you could debug it?

It gets in game and seems somewhat playable if you do the source change unknownbrackets mentions. Anyway I was wondering what's wrong with the character models. They look like swiss cheese in game. Could also be my video drivers I suppose, but I have no way of upgrading them.

Oh yeah, this game can definitely be moved to in-game right now.

You'll need to have a "special" build of ppsspp though, that you've got to compile yourself, with the following change to line 114 of the sceIo.cpp file located in the ppsspp\Core\HLE\Libraries\ folder (where you downloaded the ppsspp source files):-

Oops I guess I wasn't very clear. But yeah I doubt many people are playing this for the high quality gameplay. When they have that wireframe all over their bodies it's a bit less appealing. It'd be nice if it wasn't there. : /

I think of it as more of a collect-a-thon, so to speak.

About the wireframe effect, I've tried all sorts of settings to to affect it, and the only one which seems to have some effect is turning on Anti-Aliasing, for some reason.

Finished 2 vacations with no further hangs or crashes.

Do not access the Precious Memories Mode though, the game will hang as PPSSPP hasn't been given the ability to review screenshots yet that is required for this game.

You can take pictures, and the game won't hang, but you can't view them at the moment.
