When I mentioned I had tried multiple builds of ppsspp versions 9.6 and 9.5 I was referring to the ones that are available at that site. While I have not actually tried every single one available there, I've tried enough to believe that 9.5 and 9.6 builds aren't what I need. I've heard some people mention that the version 8 builds resolved this issue I'm having, so I was actually hoping to find a site where I could find those versions of the ppsspp emulator. Unless I am missing something, that build site you gave the link for only has down to 0.9.5-1-g3abeb62, which I have tried. |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
That link was for an Android build, and the ctrl+F search was of no help. I guess you are right though, I will have to search for a site out there that has some of the older windows builds. Thanks for trying to help though.
Getting close to giving up though. If any1 else knows where I could find those older builds, or if they have one of the older 0.8 versions let me know, maybe someone could email it to me or something.... ohh well, to the search engine I go. |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Sorry in advance if I am necro-bumping.
I am using current version (0.9.7) and I did notice the text-delay issue also. After unchecking "Lazy texture caching", "Retain changed textures", and "Low quality splines and bezier curves", the problem went away. Also, I had to manually enable frameskip (1) and enabled the Auto Frameskipping option... now Im getting fluid fps in all areas of the game, upscaled 2x, with 4x AA. using nexus 7 2012, and win 7 x64 (runs constantly 60 FPS locked.); works great good job devs ^^ |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Game broken in 0.9.7.2 x64, game loads, but no amount of changing rendering modes fixes the black screen, audio only. Game worked perfectly fine in 0.9.6.
Edit: Okay, the menu and title screen show up, but when a save is loaded, nothing but a blank screen, but there is audio. Edit: Tried 0.9.7.2-287, works now, looks like something broke the game in 0.9.7.2, so yeah, wonder what the issue was. Crashing on Game Load
Alright, so I got the latest version of PPSSPP a couple days ago. I loaded up Star Ocean: Second Evolution and played it for about an hour and a half without a problem. I entered Krosse Cave, started exploring, got about halfway and the emulator crashed. I thought this was a normal thing and took a break from it, confident since I had saved it fairly close to where I crashed.
I started PPSSPP up again today, hit the button to load my game on the emulator. It switched over and immediately crashed. I tried it again, it did it again. I'm not quite sure if it's a problem with the game or the emulator. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there maybe a fix out? |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
P.R.Pendragon, are you using the latest git build or the latest stable version? The latest git build may work better. Crashing shouldn't necessarily be normal.
Also, try disabling fast memory in settings. -[Unknown] |
