Finally found the cause of the sound issue. did a redundancy check The issue lies between GIT v1.1.1-109-g42c7993 and v1.1.1-119-g5ebb5d5
Im sure it was the 119 commit: Merge: 42c7993 a941c6e Merge pull request #8116 from hrydgard/reverb Implement sceSas' reverb effect, guessing that the reverb is the same as the one in PSX's SPU.
109 sounds good. 119 is off.
Cannot confirm due to the sensitivity of the savestates around these builds.
