Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection

RE: Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection
Thanks for these codes. I'm trying to get those rare drop rate bonus cheats to work, however I am not too sure how they work. They mention prayer modifier +X% rare drop rate. Does the prayer thing refer the pray ability of Rosa? i.e. cast a successful prayer and you get the bonus?

I activated the cheat and nothing seems to have changed, killing enemies even with the +999900% cheat yields no drops after battles.

Thanks

Once you've got that, just add it to the address there with Windows Calculator (or the Mac equivalent [if you're using Linux, you can probably do it in your head anyway]). Stick that code in your cheat INI file, tick it off, and have fun.

Alright Turtle, you da real mvp. I found your codes while trying to get 99 of the Small Tails items to trade with the Tail Collector guy in Elban Cave and they works great Big Grin

However, I thought that you meant add twice the index of the item, instead of substitute. My codes for the Small Tail item is 0x0079425A + 01C9 + 01C9 = 0x007945EC

For noob Windows user like me, to calculate the codes, open up the Calculator program, go to View > Programmer and select Hex mode.

RE: Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection
I don't understand how to substitute the index code for the item I want, I'm new to this whole thing. Basically, I don't want to break the game and get every item I just want a very specific code for the Mythril Nuts and Mythril Bolts so I don't have to grind for them. If someone could help me out I'd be greatly appreciative.

Edit - I brute forced it to get the codes I wanted. Here they are for anyone else looking for this specific code set.
_C0 98 Kokkol Ore
_L 0x0079452C 0x00000062
_C0 98 Doll Parts
_L 0x00794538 0x00000062

RE: Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection
Hello everyone,

Thank you for the codes already posted.

I am looking for a code/cheat that will allow one to walk through walls. I know there were codes for Final Fantasy IV on the SNES that allowed for this as well as Final Fantasy IV The After Years on the Wii that allowed for this too. However, I have not found one for this addition of the game. I would appreciate any help here! Thank you!

RE: Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection
Here's a code for the first story you may like. Let's see those ore hounds sweat with all these tails. Just make sure that slot is empty first or filled with something you don't care about before activating.

_C0 Infinite Pink Tails in 12th item slot(left to right)
_L 0x003FAEDC 0x00000F9
_L 0x003FAEDE 0x0000063

Also, I know there is a post here with a bunch of codes for infinite hp and such but I expanded on it to include characters that aren't listed as well as max HP/MP so you won't have to worry about healing in battle dropping your HP. They are also in order should you wish to find them yourself in a hex editor/cheat engine (hint: the lower case alphabet in the RAM Dump starts with 0B as a, and upper case alphabet starts with 25 as A) Once you've found the first character name just add 170 to the address or count down 23 lines to find the next name. No clue why it is different from hex to text converters where a = 61 and A = 41:

Code:
_C0 Cecil HP 9999

I also found the addresses for the stats, but it only changed the visual number. It did not effect the multipliers, att/def/mdef, hit %/evade %/ m evade %. While I found those too I figured it was pointless since I can't get CE to actually change anything or locate pointers. Was still fun anyway.

I'm lost regarding those pray codes as well. Not even sure if PP is pray power or something else, or if the pray at once cheat is suppose to allow you to get all the benefits you activate at the same time. Could definitely use some feedback from the poster about those.

Not sure if PPSSPP will read C++ from notepad, but if so maybe this would work? I'm new to all this, self-teaching while A.D.D., and no longer young so who knows:
Code:
#include <iostream>
#include <iomanip>
using namespace std;

int main()
{
    int i=0x0079425C;//item//
    int q=0x00000063;//quantity//

    for (i=0x0079425C;i<=0x00794646;i+=2)
    {
    cout<<showbase<<internal<<setfill('0');
    cout<<hex<<setw(10)<<uppercase<<(i)<<" "<<setw(10)<<(q)<<"\n";
    }
return 0;
}
That writes out the list you made...at least it does using Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express.

RE: Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection
I'll turn my joke detector off for this and give you guys some directions ~ No PPSSPP can't "read cpp from a notepad", it does however support all cwcheat code types(except the completely useless 0xB) and the ones listed below would shorten such long lists to 2 lines without any programming involved:
Code:
32 bit multi line write
0x4AAAAAAA 0xXXXXYYYY
0xDDDDDDDD 0xIIIIIIII

16 bit multi line write
0x8AAAAAAA 0xXXXXYYYY
0x1000DDDD 0x0000IIII

8 bit multi line write
0x8AAAAAAA 0xXXXXYYYY
0x000000DD 0x000000II
where A - address, X - number of repeats, Y - offset, D - value, last one is optional, increases value of each following repeat by I.

Also for anyone searching efficiency ~ ASM. Can't do better than free and that's how most of the time asm cheats end up costing.
Low > high lvl, at least when it comes to cheats and other hacks.

I found some tips of healing in this site chakras.soulchakra[.]com , don't know how they can work or not.
Can anyone please check and say that chakras really work or not?

RE: Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection
I'd like to request a code to edit a specific character into a specific character slot (FFIV). Such codes already exist for the GBA and NDS versions, but my CC knowledge is pretty limited and so far I've been unable to identify which address is used, or even if it still works the same way.

For reference, here is the RAW code for the GBA version:

Code:
Slot 1 Modifier
020069E6:??

Slot 2 Modifier
020069E7:??

Slot 3 Modifier
020069E8:??

Slot 4 Modifier
020069E9:??

Slot 5 Modifier
020069EA:??

00 - Cecil (Paladin), (Dark Knight) before class change at Mt. Ordeals
01 - Kain
02 - Rosa
03 - Rydia (Adult), (Child) before she first leaves party after Fabul
04 - Cid
05 - Tellah
06 - Edward
07 - Yang
08 - Palom
09 - Porom
0A - Edge
0B - FuSoYa

Thanks in advance.

200492B8 00042840. The code makes all attacks and spells do 2x damage. I want to know if any can help me find a break damage code. It should be in the same address area.

My only way of code searching I can do is through cwcheat on my psp. Thanks for any help I can get.

RE: Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection
Before I figured out how to port PSP codes between JAP/USA I noticed that NPJH-50414 had a "No Random Battles/No Encounters code" that works for every chapter of the game while ULUS-10560 only applies to the main game and interlude.

Code:
_S NPJH-50414
_G Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection (PlayStation Store) [JP]
_C0 No Encounters
_L 0x200CF8E0 0x1000004C
_L 0xD0000000 0x10008000
_L 0x200CF8E0 0x14C70053
_C0 No Encounters After Years
_L 0x200A0D04 0x10000005
_L 0x200B968C 0x10000005
_L 0x200CF8E0 0x1000004C
_L 0xD0000002 0x10008000
_L 0x200A0D04 0x10800005
_L 0x200B968C 0x10800005
_L 0x200CF8E0 0x14C70053

From the non-after years code we can see that 0x200CF8E0 is listed twice with two different values and a 0xD code sandwiched in between. Anyway 0x1000004C is the no random value, 0x14C70053 is the normal encounter and 0xD is the joker to assign a button toggle.

The after years code has the original 0x200CF8E0 plus a couple new lines. If we were to compare that to the currently ported US codes there's a difference of 148 hex that gets subtracted from all but the 0xD line.

Code:
_S ULUS-10560
_G Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection [US]
_C0 No Encounters
_L 0x200CF798 0x1000004C
_L 0xD0000000 0x10008000
_L 0x200CF798 0x14C70053
_C0 No Encounters After Years
_L 0x200A0BBC 0x10000005
_L 0x200B9544 0x10000005
_L 0x200CF798 0x1000004C
_L 0xD0000002 0x10008000
_L 0x200A0BBC 0x10800005
_L 0x200B9544 0x10800005
_L 0x200CF798 0x14C70053

But when you consider that the after years code already contains the main game no encounter, a simpler way to write it is:

Code:
_S ULUS-10560
_G Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection [US]
_C0 No Encounters
_L 0x200A0BBC 0x10000005
_L 0x200B9544 0x10000005
_L 0x200CF798 0x1000004C
_C0 Normal Encounters
_L 0x200A0BBC 0x10800005
_L 0x200B9544 0x10800005
_L 0x200CF798 0x14C70053

Just drop the joker altogether.

Any chance you could look at my Crisis Core thread? I need a re-raise code to prevent Instant Death attacks on the EU Uk version of the PSP game.
