PPSSPP slowed down all of sudden
Hi guys, the emulator was so awesome for me, i played my games on a very decent pc, all of them on cool settings and such. They used to run smooth and chic, but today the emulator is working absolutely SLOW. I've tried rebooting, changing every possible graphic setting on the emu (but it was not needed a week(!) ago) updating my video drivers and reinstalling the emulator itself. Nothing worked for me.
Please someone help me, I am desperate. I am pretty sure the PC hardware works just fine, so i will try and reinstall Windows as a last resort. Any help will be apreciated If you need any extra information, feel free to ask. Thank you/ |

RE: PPSSPP slowed down all of sudden
try to physically clean it from dust inside
it maybe sound funny but its summer and heat can really slow down ur pc and ur problem fits to it perfectly Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=12513 or http://www.x360ce.com |

And the most important part was the fact that the decrease in speed was very sudden. I played a week before with no speed problems, but now i experience stutter at the same settings. Thanks for replying anymay! |

RE: PPSSPP slowed down all of sudden
Try uninstalling PPSSPP and tell me if that fixes the issue. If it doesn't fix, let me know. I might possibly know a solution if this doesn't work.

RE: PPSSPP slowed down all of sudden
Hi, I got the same problem, I was playing God Eater 2 just fine, and then all of a sudden the game started lagging, after restarting ppsspp I realized its the emulator itself that is lagging, any help with this problem?

RE: PPSSPP slowed down all of sudden
Sounds really odd. Try resetting all settings to default. You didn't set Texture Scaling to Auto? That's currently the biggest performance trap we have...

I'm having trouble with the ppssppx64 so I switched to the 32 bits ver. with the same settings and it working fine, still that bug is concerning |

RE: PPSSPP slowed down all of sudden
Hi again, i think I got the solution.
Use an antivirus, true be told I uninstalled Avast, because I though it could have been slowing my pc, but after reinstalling it a message pops up saying there is a virus called rootkit in my pc, after deleting it, the ppsspp x64 came back to the smooth state it always had. if the above didnt work try restoring your pc's system to a date before the bug ocurred, be carefull that despite this procces not affecting documents and archives it could somehow affect installed programs. Also, try disabling the "check for new versions of ppsspp" option Hope it helps. |
