Some games use a common standardized format, or provide their own decoders. A lot of games use a proprietary Sony audio format called Atrac3+, which cannot be decoded unless you have Sony stuff installed on Windows, which this emulator does not use for quite a few good reasons. As far as I know there is at least someone hacking around with it. Maybe someone will actually be able to write their own decoder, or maybe we will never hear audio in these games. Only time will tell, but this is an insanely hard task, and very few people are knowledgeable enough to do it.
