best PPSSPP version for multiplayer?

Hello everyone, just wanted to ask, which version of PPSSPP is best suited to play multiplayer games in general with up to 3+ players? I heard 1.0 has ad-hoc issues which I managed to experience at first hand so I thought I ask the community here. Most of of what I found leads to 9.8, but thought I ask if 9.9 would be decent as well?

I use v0.9.9.1-1368-g303b92d and v0.9.8-1394-g384d8e3 for certain games. First one for like Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and the second one for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD.

Well i thought that version 1.0 and higher has adhoc issues as i couldnt make adhoc working for several days .. but it was not truth, it was because of in-use ports.
I think its good to use 1.0 version as it seems more "organised" than previous versions.

It's bugged for Monster Hunter games, don't know about other games though.
