Broken Graphics after graphic driver update

I updated my graphics driver (for Intel HD Graphics 4400 and on Windows 10) and some the graphics (in home screen the squares, circles, triangles, and x's in the background, as well as the game icons and the ppsspp logo) suddenly started being all pixelated (see photos). Game assets were glitched in the same way and it stayed that way even after I reverted the update. Yesterday, before the update it all worked fine. I tried downloading a more current version of ppsspp, but it still had the same issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Strange. That looks like a hardware problem to me ...
