what does alternative speed due?

Tried playing with it but didn't really see a speed increase

When you press a button, you can toggle the speed to the speed you set in settings. This can be either a slower or faster speed, and will only go that speed if your device is actually capable of it.

So, for example, say you're playing a tactical RPG, and it's the enemies turn. You know roughly what they're gonna do, so you tap the alternate speed button, and watch as their turn progresses at 150% speed, the speed you set. Oh wait - they're doing something unexpected. You tap it again, and now you're watching it at normal speed.

That's the idea, anyway.
