RE: Tegra X1
Best mobile chip is Intel Atom, the one in the new ASUS Zenphone 2.

But the future is Intel. Intel make the best chips, with their HTT (Hyper Threading Technology) they will RULE! You're mentioning a tablet chip, the K1 is not in a smartphone. IF Intel makes a tablet chip specifically for gaming from now on... it will destroy anything Nvidia releases.

RE: Tegra X1
Intel GPUs are not necessarily known for destroying NVIDIA gpus, on desktop or on mobile. Also, that device uses a PowerVR gpu (so, it's not even an Intel one anyway), which I'd much rather have a K1 (or X1) than a PowerVR for sure, personally.

GPUs can be very important for gaming, CPU is not everything.

Yeah sure just like Intel HD graphics destroy anything. The new x1 is aimed for phones. If Intel had good GPUs it would not only be on smartphones but PCs.. Nvidia has the best GPUs out..

Intel makes great CPU's on desktops, but their GPU hardware isn't going to kill anything soon. They have a history of bad OpenGL drivers on desktop systems and their mobile Atom devices that I've had experience with are not much better. They still have a lot of room for improvement before their GPu hardware can match Nvidia.

RE: Tegra X1
But in terms of emulating.... CPU is more important than GPU, So Intel has that covered for people who use emulators.

Intel = better emulation
Tegra = better for playstore games

In general yes, but not so much with more modern console emulators which use Hardware renderers like OpenGl. For example, I have a Desktop Computer with an Intel i5 2400 [email protected] Ghertz that is slower than my Nvidia Shield Tablet for PSP and PS1 emulation with OpenGL rendering.

Now guess why that is?

Who cares if its faster for those types of emus. Intel is just a better brand and they are the best. Nvidia just wants your money.. Intel actually cares about its consumers..

Who cares about brands? I just want what works best for the emulators I like with the settings I prefer.

I've had many Intel systems and I don't have any issues with their CPU's. But their GPU's leave much to be desired. I stopped being that naive about "Brands" a long time ago.
