Stuttering and FPS drops (PC)
I'm having some stuttering and overall FPS drops in various games and it's really weird since my PC's more than capable of running PPSSPP.

Specs: i5 3570K @4.2GHz, 16GB DDR3 1333MHz, Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX 2, Cooler Master 750W 80+ Bronze, ZOTAC GTX 650 AMP EDITION (Non-TI)

Edit by vnctdj : Please use the "code" tag when you post long lists like this one.

Messing with the graphics settings DOESN'T help.

Games I've tried: (GOD I WISH THESE RAN AT 60 FPS. I hate hard-coded FPS locks)

FF Crisis Core (1GB version): Stuttering in and out of cutscenes, sometimes out of combat, sometimes while exiting the menu. Otherwise, 30 FPS.

KH BBS (With 600MB install data): Oh. My. GOD. This is UNPLAYABLE.
It lags, lags, lags, lags. Stutters while walking around, outright lags while in combat (From 5-15 FPS to 20-25)

YGO Tag Force (1): Stuttering everywhere and occasional slowdowns while walking around and dueling.

Also, even though I have the Shader set to FXAA, it looks like there's HQX instead. Any way to fix that ? (It's set to FXAA in the ini too)

Edit:
Oh jeez, spoilers don't work here ?

Edit 2: Tried setting the CPU Clock at 333MHz, disabling Vsync and the 60 FPS limit.
Nothing works with BBS. (Yes, I've set 333MHz in the settings too)

RE: Stuttering and FPS drops (PC)
Well what do you expect:
1.Running at 10x resolution(above 2x the difference is barely visible at least here on 1024x768)
2.VSync is not really needed
3.5x Upscaling while using Hybrid+Bicubic

Your settings are one of the best FPS killer settings

I cleared FFCC and KHBBS at constant full speed while using much much weaker pc(P4 2.8ghz 6600GT 1gb ram)

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

Again, changing them doesn't help at all.

Try those...open the settings file before starting ppsspp, replace the existing with those, save and then run ppsspp

Nope. That didn't do anything other than making everything look worse.

RE: Stuttering and FPS drops (PC)
Are you using the latest nvidia drivers(not beta...if there are beta drivers)

Every single game I tried(I have a lot)runs with the same settings(I use them on my old pc)at at least 5 or 10 times faster than before.

The problem could the the ppsspp version you are using or something else(drivers for example)but it's not settings if you use my settings

Latest Nvidia drivers, using the latest PPSSPP version.
Fun fact: I bought the Gold Edition today.

The thing is,I don't think there is a single game that he can't run at constant full speed with my settings but for some reason he have problems...maybe some external software.

This is my result with those settings(if I enable the multithreaded option,I'll get even more but for some reason I don't trust that option)

Does the game run on crack ?
I'm not taking about removing the frame-limit.

Don't know what you mean.
I disabled the fps limit just to shows you how fast those games can run on my pc with those settings.

The game image is not modified in any way.

Yeah alright, that's NOT the point.
Point is: They still stutter no matter which settings I try.
Tag Force now freezes when I select a card in rock-paper-scissors.
Nothing seems to fix it.

RE: Stuttering and FPS drops (PC)
Hybrid+Bicubic at 5x kills the fps on my computer, try using xBRZ at 4x. Looks just as nice, at least in monster hunter games. 4x looks better than 5x actually because it's an even number so it becomes smoother. Again, at least in monster hunter ^^

Screenshots on monster hunter portable 3rd HD.

xBRZ @ 4x: http://i.imgur.com/csTAh3z.jpg
Hybrid+Bicubic @ 5x: http://i.imgur.com/pcyHZh8.jpg

If you look closely on the helm icon, you can see some jagged edges on the 5x option, but not on the 4x.
If you flip back and forth between the screenshots you should see some changes Smile
