PPSSPP Android: Can't save Persona 3 Portable

I recently downloaded PPSSPP from the Play Store, and am unable to save my game in Persona 3. Both in-game saves and save states fail. Even though the save state fails, it lets me click Load State which gives the message 'save state is for an older version.'

In contrast, FF Tactics: War of the Lions runs fine and both in-game saves and save states work.

Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: I managed to solve the issue. I downgraded from ver 0.9.9.1 to 0.9.8 and now save states appear to be working. I hope other people who have this problem can find this thread and fix it. Please take note devs, and hopefully you can identify the problem and create even better future versions. Cheers.
