Catalyst A.I. was the problem... i just didn't know it even existed or why i could play perfectly before even with that shit on *sigh*

Anyways, it's time to get the logs fixed, cause they don't show up EVER

It just printf()s, or you can use --log=FILENAME as an argument. Nothing writes to that directory you mentioned specifically.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Hmm, this bug is in latest master? What's the first version it started happening in and the last version it wasn't happening in?

Does it affect Dissidia 1 or only 012?

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
the last version that working fine is build 0.9.9.1-1072
the first version that has the bug is 0.9.9.1-1078, the bug is still present on the latest build 0.9.9.1-1275 on my nexus 4 adreno 320 android

dont know if it also affect dissidia 1 because i dont have that game

here is my sample video of the bug on my nexus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlZUViMbY5o

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Thanks for narrowing it down.

Is that v0.9.9.1-1072-gd98bde8 or v0.9.9.1-1072-g1809e98? I'm going to assume the latter. It's best to give the full version, since git isn't exactly "linear". The stuff after the "-g" is what really tells me what version it is.

Based on that range, my top suspect is https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/pull/7141.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Okay, to those suffering from random crashes like me, I think I found the solution. Change your renderer to DX 9 and the crashes will stop. OpenGL seems to be the culprit

Athlon x4 635 @3.5
660 OC 2GB
4GB DDR3 @7-7-7-20
Gamers cannot gain anything without first giving something in return, to obtain something of equal value must be lost that is gaming world's first law of equivalent exchange. In those days, I really believed that would be the world's one and only truth.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Thanks, i'll have to give a try, as i observed some random crash happening with the game without a noticable reproducible way to recreate the crash.

edit : after trying i don't find a noticable slowdown, speed seems to be as fast in DX9 as in opengl on my old PC.

But i noticed after checking my CPU usage that in DX9 PPSSPP is eating less of my CPU (i have a simple dual core) than in OpenGL, that's great. Going to change to DX9 for all the games then.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Yeah, it wasn't a big slowdown. I just didn't notice that the resolution was left to auto 1:1 so it was running on a higher res that's why I edited it out Big Grin

Anyways, did the crashing stop ? The crashing completely stopped for me.
