Copy your PSP's font to the PPSSPP's font folder.

Note: You can only do that with the PC version as the Android version doesn't support changing fonts yet.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
game is still crashing with my save. It loads okay but when I go in anywhere it does autosave or if I manually go into options to make a save ppsspp stops responding.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
After today's iOS update (it's version 0.8.1-1319) Dissidia 012 runs even slower than before and the flickering has become even worse (my eyes hurt when I keep looking at that flickering screen).

What happened?

Testing PPSSPP on:

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4
iPad 4, iOS 7.0.4

ASUS Notebook
Windows 8 64-Bit
8GB RAM, Intel Core i7 processor @ 2,3 GHz
nVidia Geforce GT 635M 2GB

Flickering during battles?

or

Flickering during cutscenes?

Need more details. Do you have Frameskipping on? Multithreaded on?

It's still pretty solid during battles on Windows 64bit builds (using 0.8.1-1321)

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

Talking about iOS (iPad4):
I never talk about the PC version because it's so super fast on my PC, it doesn't need any speed tweaking.

-It was almost at fullspeed yesterday.
-The flickering happens both during battles AND cutscenes, but the flickering during battles is terrible (with frameskipping on).

-The Multithreaded option is new (it appeared after today's update for iOS), so I didn't know what it does.

Where did this whole flickering issue come from? I can't remember having these issues some weeks ago, even with frameskipping on. Sad

Does switching the rendering modes do anything?

The flickering during battles used to happen on the PC too, even without frameskipping. A previous solution which worked in older builds was to switch rendering mode to Non Buffered, and then back to buffered mode again.

If on Non buffered mode already, the screen should not flicker.

As for frameskipping in this game, the recommended values are even numbers (2,4,6,8) with Non Buffered rendering, and only 4 and 8 when using Buffered Rendering in the latest builds.

I've compiled a rather detailed table with the results of frameskipping in various games here:-

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
But I am on non-buffered mode and the screen is still flickering when I activate frameskipping. There's no flickering when I turn off frameskipping.

I'll try to change frameskipping values.

EDIT: Changed the number to 4, it's a little bit faster now but still slower than the previous version. And the flickering is still terribly annoying.
Also, why does the whole emu crash after pressing for example L/R and Triangle simultaneously?

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Make the "Back" button as it was like before when key mapping was in the external menu of emulator (and could be changed with any button in key mapping option), not useless like now in internal controls menu where I can't change it from "Backspace" to anything else, and make mapping of "Back" button function again.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
The misloaded buffer problem making buffered rendering shaky was intermittent in the r11xx series and in r1378 it's just gone. Was it the VPFU fixes?

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

Hey,

just wanted to ask weather the flickering issue has been resolved or not in the newest builds.
I would like to continue playing, couldn't play for weeks now... Sad

Why don't you try it for yourself? I've just tried it on my oldie system and I can't see any flickering using the default settings.

Using the latest dev build on the Oprhis buildbot.

Pentium D 820 @ 2.8 GHz stock, NVIDIA 7600 GT,1 GB RAM, Windows XP.

Because I use an iPad, I can't get the latest version. I HAVE to wait for updates done by the repo owner Karen.

It's not like Windows/Android....

Using the latest dev build on the Oprhis buildbot.

Oprhis doesn't provide iOS/OSX/Linux builds. It's maintained by someone else. Karen, the buildbot maintainer for OSX/iOS/Linux doesn't keep archives of old builds, and doesn't update the minute a new revision comes out. It's not as easy for those users as it is for Android/Windows.
