Github issue #3091 -- it's reported for God Eater Burst, but it affects Dissidia 012 as well.

Seems okay here. Loaded my save file successfully and did a quick battle with Yuna vs. Tifa. in r1161.

Not quite sure what the issue is. And yes, I do have an ATi card and a 64 bit OS, as listed in my signature.

Screenshot for proof from a 64bit build of 1161:-

I have to disable Streaming VBO for it to load

And using a save with DLC data can cause black screen when the game does autosaving.
Disabling Stream VBO did get the game to load, and I didn't have the black screen issue in r1163.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

You shouldn't have it on the first place. The option is rather experimental and should be off, since it's rather inconclusive to performance. (neither here nor there)

Refer to my performance guide:-

http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5236

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

You shouldn't have it on the first place.

it is the default setting when you start ppsspp for the first time, i had it on too without knowing it would be bad, i left everything @ defaults and only upped the res.

so i take it i should disable it permanently?

Disable Stream VBO. It's broken and will be removed soon.

It was supposed to be a speed up option. Instead it just slowed things down. Albeit this was mostly only noticeable on lower-end mobile devices.

Also, in r1163+, if you try to load a save state from r1161- it freezes and locks up Windows - you have to pull the power plug. I know savestates aren't meant to be compatible between versions but freezing up the whole OS is a bit much.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

No fix for that at the moment. It will be fixed when it's fixed.

Have patience.

The game is considered playable bacause a large proportion of the game can be accessed properly and completed. Cutscenes just happen to be one of the few things that are unresolved.

Will the game ever use the correct fonts? The I's and whatnot are so close together in text.
