Everything is perfect ( or almost ) in latest emu, except ghostly shadows which can be seen on the far objects and in EX Burst animations ( especially Warrior of Light EX Burst )!!!

Use 1x and those things will go away. The game is doing it on purpose but the effect doesn't work well at render resolutions not supported by the actual PSP, which means anything other than 1x.

But what are those effects that make those ghostly shadows on higher than 1x resolution? Are they any decoration to the game? If not, is there any way to remove them, without affecting rest of the game ( other graphical effects ), because when I was using JPCSP there was the same problem in one of the revisions, I went to the forums, asked for solution and, some revisions later, the problem was solved without affecting rest of the game.

Edit- This emulator is made to play PSP games on very high resolutions, why do I need to return to the basics of PSP then?

But, also, when I start the new version of the PPSSPP emulator and when I get to the any Dissidia title screen, emulator freezes!!!

P.S.- I thing that those ghostly shadows can be maintained by somehow setting them to always run on 1x psp lowest resolution, no matter what resolution is actually used for gameplay!

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Quick question: This "random crash" people keep talking about - would it happen to be a case of everything just stops dead except the sound system making ultra-short blips every second or so, almost like the game is suddenly running at one fps? I'm trying to figure out if I've run into it or something unrelated.

I managed to get back to the ppsspp UI by alt-tabbing (not that it solved the problem), so I might be able to get a savestate mid-failure if it happens again.

Windows x86 - ver 1.0 Haven't yet tried switching to DX9 to solve it, mostly because I'm not sure if this is even the same bug.

If you could get a save state or a debug log, please post it here, it may be useful for developers, with a bit of luck you could catch something new Smile

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Okay, nevermind, the "random crash" is quite obviously the nice no-warning Black Screen Of Death I just plowed into. If I get that apparent 1FPS bug again, I'll be sure to try and get a state for you. In the meantime, let's see if DX9 does the trick.

update: Well, DX9 was no help in dodging the random crash (hit me twice last night), but the red wash that was mentioned a few pages ago is certainly still there. What I find completely baffling about that wash, though, is that it only affects those cutscenes new to duodecim - all the cutscenes copy-pasted from the original game look normal. Is there some flag being tripped on the new cutscenes that's making a mess?

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Does anyone want to try to solve the ghostly shadows I mentioned some replies above? Just make the option that keeps the original resolution for those overlay effects that look bad on higher then normal PSP resolution.

Look at the red circles and pointers I put on the images below. You will understand after you experience those ugly shadows that burns in everyone's eyes!!!

1 -     2 -

3 -     4 -

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
looks like the problem is the buffered rendering mode, if you dont like that ghost shadow use non buffered rendering but it will make some places dark and when performing finishing blow
