Go back to an older build for now.

I think my main issue MAY be the fonts because all of my damage numbers show up as white squares instead of numbers. I'm not actually sure what I should be doing with my font/flash0 folder as it is already present and I don't know if anything might be missing from it that could be causing this issue.

That doesn't sound like a font issue. The game doesn't use the text font, or as far as I can tell any font from the flash0 folder, for the in-battle text. Unfortunately I have no idea what the real issue is.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

It's not like the PC version. I can't go back to an older version, and there are no several versions in Cydia. There's only one which is uploaded and updated by Karen.

Testing PPSSPP on:

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4
iPad 4, iOS 7.0.4

ASUS Notebook
Windows 8 64-Bit
8GB RAM, Intel Core i7 processor @ 2,3 GHz
nVidia Geforce GT 635M 2GB

You can download previous android versions on the downloads page, just like you can for PC.

The user (Burna91) is on iOS. The way that repo is maintained is different.

Also Android and iOS builds are different.

Finally did a proper search of Github.
My issue is #1598, so it's been brought to the devs' attention and ignored.
#2903 mentions that and the other buffer issue (random wrong text) that was beaten for a while but came back.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
i have a small issue with the game,

1: when story mode movies are played there are 2 things that arent correct, 1st is that the lips wont move sometimes and it looks like they are chewing something rather than having a conversation. 2nd the screen blacks out sometimes but the sound and subtitles are still there.

2: when you are in battle there are a few graphica glitches, 1st would be the less annoying one and that is that the screen is darkened while in battle, 2nd is the more annoying one, the battle field begins to flikker and having some graphical issues as well, the flikkering can be pretty drastic.

the battle problems dont always show up, but they do pretty frequently.

hopefully this is noted by the devs, and it is fixed in the future .9 release, one can only hope :c

edit:

most recent svn release for windows used

windows 7
i5-760@4ghz
gtx 480
8gb ddr3 ram

Problem 2 can be solved by switching Rendering Modes from Buffered to Non Buffered and then back to Buffered, works well for the flickering.

Will only be fixed for the duration of the battle though.

As for Problem 1, you'll just have to wait, like the rest of us.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
If you're using the 64-bit build and have an ATI card, don't get r1158 or newer. It crashes on load.

Github issue #3091 -- it's reported for God Eater Burst, but it affects Dissidia 012 as well.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

Seems okay here. Loaded my save file successfully and did a quick battle with Yuna vs. Tifa. in r1161.

Not quite sure what the issue is. And yes, I do have an ATi card and a 64 bit OS, as listed in my signature.

Screenshot for proof from a 64bit build of 1161:-

I have to disable Streaming VBO for it to load

And using a save with DLC data can cause black screen when the game does autosaving.
