If you know how to make your own builds, you can edit the source code such that you comment out or remove lines 197-207 in OpenGL's texturecache.cpp, then enable Read FBO to Memory(CPU) or (GPU), the game won't flicker anymore(yes, even with no frameskipping). We're still looking into how to come up with a proper fix though, so you won't see this little hack as an official fix.
