The game is Amagami without SS, the anime adaption is Amagami SS and the sequel Amagami SS Plus. Thinking about it, I've no idea what SS stands for, but for more details there's a wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amagami

It's a nice game about school life/realtionships and I loved the anime adaption, recently I was rewatching it and it's always really good to watch.
I guess the anime adaption is more popular than the game, that's probably why the title is mistaken most of the times, I think it's ok to use both names.
