Convert PPSSPP save data to PSX?
Hey everyone.
Was wondering: Is it possible to convert data from PPSSPP save formats for use on a PSX emulator? I would like to play Suikoden and Suikoden 2 on the PPSSPP via the PSX to PSPs, but how would I be able to transfer data from Suikoden 2 to play on Suikoden 3, which is not a PSX to PSP game? I've read about using cwcheats, but because this is an emulator, I do not see how this can help. thanks in advance! |

RE: Convert PPSSPP save data to PSX?
If by "PSX to PSP" you mean you want to repack a game from psx to psp then forget about it. PPSSPP(as well as other psp emulators) supports only real PSP eboot.pbp files. PS X/One games will never be supported as was said many times because psp was also unable to run those games natively and ran those games over an emulator ~ writing another emulator inside ppsspp just has no sense even less with soo many already existing.
Not really sure why are you mentioning Suikoden 3 here through since that was a ps2 game, meaning it has nothing to do with ppsspp. If you do want to run proper PSP suikoden games, they're updated japanese versions remade for psp so it's very unlikely for PSOne saves to be in any way usable in it, besides those versions were fixed and improved, so it's completely worth playing from 0. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

RE: Convert PPSSPP save data to PSX?
Running proper Suikoden games for the PSP wouldn't be best, because of the save data transfers. Suikoden currently has 5 games. If I cannot somehow convert PSP save files to PCSX2 save files, then I can't play the games. It would not be worth it, since I would be limited to two games.

RE: Convert PPSSPP save data to PSX?
Bonuses doesn't really matter, importing save from SII which had SI save imported and ofc all stars, only gives small rewards in SIII meaning you can use any 100% from the net, it would not be personalized in any way;p.
PSP versions of I&II are simply superior, especially for modern widescreen displays, that's why soo many people cried about it never being released in the west. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

Thanks for the reply! Was away. But the bonuses are actually a few of the 108 Stars being showing up in other games to be recruited. So wouldn't... Wait. You're saying that I can just find a SIII saved game file that starts out at the first save.. LOL. Why did that not occur to me.. Thank you so much! Oh, and I speak fluent Japanese, so yeah. |

RE: Convert PPSSPP save data to PSX?
I ment you can take and import any 100% PSOne Suikoden II save(which had SI save imported) to get the bonuses, because they're not much and same for everyone. But yeah finding an early SIII save which already has them would work as well. :3
Well if you have psp versions of SI&II have fun playing them on ppsspp^_^. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

Oh, lol. But it will be awhile, since I actually have to find where the hell they sell the Japanese version first.
OTT, but I wish they made Valkyria Chronicles for the PSP, not just the second one.. Makes no sense. Here, maybe you might find this suitable. http://ramsus-kun.webs.com/Suikogaiden/Home.htm http://suikogaiden.wikispaces.com/ Crap, sorry, these are PSX links. :| |

RE: Convert PPSSPP save data to PSX?
Well SI&II for psp is sold on auctions for sure, like amazon or ebay, if you just want to play better get an used copy, since psp release was commercial failure which always increases prices with time:|.
About VC ~ it's just not soo easy to start new series, so they likely couldn't afford releasing it on other stuff, it's always a huge financial risk. Maybe they could later, but someone probably decided it wouldn't sell enough to justify it. Kind of sad, but after all this is a bussiness ~ no place for sentiments. Edit: you probably already saw it, but this wiki page has a list of changes in the psp version of SI&II. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |
