[Solved] No Video - Dell Inspiron 1525, Win 7-32 bit
I just downloaded the most recent 9.9 version of the emulator. I've updated the graphics driver to the best of my ability. Pretty sure I did everything I needed to in that regard. I boot up a game and I get audio, but no video.
I'm wondering if it has anything to do with OpenGL support. I can't figure out how to update it at all or if my driver even supports OpenGL. I know it's an older laptop, but I'm pretty sure I should at least be able to get video to display. Please let me know if I can provide any more information that would help solve the problem. Thanks for any help. |

RE: No Video - Dell Inspiron 1525, Win 7-32 bit
You have an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100. Most Intel video cards don't play well with PPSSPP (especially older ones), and many don't really support OpenGL well at all.
You can try going into settings and changing "rendering mode" to "non-buffered rendering". This may work, although there will be graphical glitches (of ranging degrees) in a lot of games if it does. It's possible the games you want to play may be fine, though. It's also possible this still won't work. I think there's a version of PPSSPP compiled against ANGLE. I think it's an old version of PPSSPP but you can also try it: http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?...0#pid69220 -[Unknown] |

RE: No Video - Dell Inspiron 1525, Win 7-32 bit
giving your laptop model does not help at all
give your laptop specs instead, that would be more helpful i seen a lot people giving their laptop model instead of the laptop's specs(from all over the internet) Old laptop: Lenovo G458 AMD/ATI Radeon HD 7310 | 1366x768@60Hz | APU E1-1200 Dual Core | 2.5 GB DDR3 400MHz | Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit New laptop: Lenovo ideapad 100 Nvidia Geforce 920M 2GB / Intel HD Graphics 5500 | 1366x768@60Hz | Intel Core i3-5005U 2GB | 2GB DDR3 2000MHz | Window 10 Home 64-bit |

I'll try your suggestions and see if anything works. Thanks for your input. EDIT: Happy to say that changing to non-buffered rendering fixed it for me. Video displays and everything controls fine. My only project now is to find what the best settings are to have optimal performance. I realize I'm not gonna get fantastic looking HD on my GPU, but I'm ok with downscaling it so I can have optimal play. I'll play with it on my own, but do you have any suggestions on what I should set it at? |

You've already set rendering mode to non-buffered, which is the first step. I've detailed many others on that page. RE: No Video - Dell Inspiron 1525, Win 7-32 bit
Sorry for not replying sooner to the computer questions. I followed solarmystic's instructions and I have the emulator working well enough. Dissidia 012 on 1 frame skip and a slew of other speed buffs. I drop quite a few frames and get very laggy whenever animations such as the big slow down sequences with lots of explosion animation going on at once. Understandable seeing as how outdated my video card is, but it's still impressive to see it working nonetheless.
Here are the specs on my computer since some asked: Dell Inspiron 1525 Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T6400 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz Installed memory: 3.00 GB System type: 32-bit Also, is there any way to make FMV's look less grainy? They play just fine but there seems to be a kind of film over them. Not a huge issue just curious |

RE: No Video - Dell Inspiron 1525, Win 7-32 bit
Thanks everyone for the help. Game is working surprisingly very well, exceeding what I though possible with my graphics card. I get a few crashes here and there, but they're very few and far between. I really appreciate all the help.
