Error opening PPSSPP

Hello guys, i'm not sure if this is the correct section to put my problem in.

I am really stuck in something.

When i try to open PPSSPP there is a window that says: OpenGL: Please switch your display to 32-bit colour mode.

I tried everything and still not working.

If someone could help me, please answear this thread.

I am using 32 bit color mode in the highest possible screen resolution for my monitor. Windows 7 64 bit.

Just for a test,try lowering the resolution to 1024x768 and double check the color mode(I get that error here on Xp if the color mode is not set to 32bit)

And there are no compatibility options enabled on the exe(right click=>properties=>compatibility)that changes the color mode right?

Well, i think that i found out the problem. My screen monitor has no more than 24 bits per pixel.

chavetas: that's not an issue, basically 32-bit in software is limited to a 24-bit color-space. I can't explain it very well but it's basically 8 bits for each red green blue and transparency (8+8+8+8 = 32) in software but your hardware display obviously can not become transparent so it's only 8 bits for red, green and blue, so (8+8+8 = 24)
