RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
I am using wlan connection via router too. I tried a using my ip address but I also do not understand the 192.168.1.xxx/0.xxx. What numbers replace the x. I have tried 192.168.1.1 but it just crashes in lobby. And when I use the ip address in my phone's wifi setting that ip address doesn't work. Please help!

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
If you put the wrong IP address, the emulator will "freeze".
Crash problem was a result of different errors/faults per game. [Ex. MH3rd HD crashes with fast memory checked] | Testing Rig: Windows10 PC | ->Proc: Intel Core i3 4130 ->GPU: Nvidia GTX660 GDDR5 1GB ->RAM: 8GB DDR3 |

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
Can anyone help me? I followed the instruction above and was able to connect and go to onlime gathering hall with my friend. But the only problem is that we can't see each other at the hall. We've waited for about 5mins but still, didn't see each other. Another thing is that, when I'm about to host a game, my friend can't connect in my hotspot. Need your help desperately. Thanks!

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
First of all, use the latest build from orphis for an easier way to edit networking peripherals. (PPSSPP Daily Builds)Mac And IP address was now editable in settings->System->under Networking.
In your 1st statement, I assume that your friend is the one who's Hosting the game right? (based on the 2nd statement) -Make sure you're using 192.168.43.1 (PortHotSpot) The same on the other party. -The AdhocServer application must be initialized by the Host, the one who enabled Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. The IP 192.168.43.1 stands for the Hotspot itself regardless of the acquired IP of the Host's Phone. (ex. Your friend enabled his' Hotspot->He should be the one to start AdhocServer) -Make sure that your game is on the same version/region (US/JPN/EN) Your second statement seems to be your phone's hardware/software problem.... (Your friend cannot connect on your Hotspot?) Try other methods or be a little specific of what you've already done. | Testing Rig: Windows10 PC | ->Proc: Intel Core i3 4130 ->GPU: Nvidia GTX660 GDDR5 1GB ->RAM: 8GB DDR3 |

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
Almost the same as the old, except for the Adhoc Server and MacAdress, those are now under system settings but you can also edit those the old way.
And also, "fast memory" option seems to be more stable than before. BTW, for Android users who want to play online: I would like to promote Coldbird's Prometheus server for online-multiplayer. ->Just use pro.coldbird.net as your Adhoc Server. ->Your MacAdress ->25% emulation speed trick. [25 at loading screen, 100 at "beginning quest" dialog] of course, you need to have an Internet connection {1device per router or stable3g/4G connection(tested)} check the server's status (number of players per game) before trying to connect. Go to pro.coldbird.net on your browser. | Testing Rig: Windows10 PC | ->Proc: Intel Core i3 4130 ->GPU: Nvidia GTX660 GDDR5 1GB ->RAM: 8GB DDR3 |

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
(1)Portable Wifi Hotspot? (I recently tested this on the latest v0.9.9.27 and it's fine)
it's most likely caused by unstable emulation, either the host or the client has low fps/speed lower than 15/100 (when I tried multiplayer with someone using 2frameskip, sometimes we disconnect during quest) Just Sacrifice a little bit of graphics to obtain 15fps above. (2)On Coldbird's? Execute the 25% trick simultaneously. When the Quest Host Starts the quest (trumpet sound), Switch to 25% speed by pressing your designated button (from key mapping->speed toggle) Then, When you saw the beginning quest dialogue, return it back to Standard by hitting the button again. | Testing Rig: Windows10 PC | ->Proc: Intel Core i3 4130 ->GPU: Nvidia GTX660 GDDR5 1GB ->RAM: 8GB DDR3 |
