RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
From what i tested, it have something to do with "Fast Memory" and "I/O on Thread", i turned off "I/O on Thread", it will not let me click the "x" button,
the same for "Fast Memory", with both disabled, same result, but when both are enabled, it crashes |

RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
Playing on a Windows 7 64 Bit system, using the latest Windows 64 build of PPSSPP off of the buildbot (v0.9.8-1309 as of this post) and the game runs flawlessly except for some issues. I can start courses and play the game fine, but after the match is over I am prompted to press "X" to continue, which does nothing. I can hear the confirmation sound, but nothing occurs. Going into the PPSSPP menu at this point and going back to the game results in a black screen, and my AMD display driver (My GPU is an AMD Radeon 6770HD) crashes and then recovers a moment later. PPSSPP is left running in the background taking up a lot of CPU % according to my task manager and can only be closed by killing the process. This display driver crash also seems to occur randomly when messing around on the license map and going to the PPSSPP menu. These issues still occur with or without fast memory enabled. A regular crash occurs at random when in the "My Room" section and equipping new clothes and accessories on a character. The character model is displayed at the top left to show which clothes and accessories are currently equipped. When equipping something new, the model is refreshed to show the new equipment. Approximately 50% of the time PPSSPP will crash when attempting to show the updated character model.

RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
Just to confirm, you've updated your graphics drivers AND disabled "catalyst AI" right?

RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
I can reproduce the "My Room" crash with my PC. I'll see if I can get any useful debug info..
Edit: I can't get a useful crash dump at all, even with JIT off. It just outright crashes with a useless stack trace. I went ahead and opened an issue here. As a workaround, try turning software skinning off for now. 4GHz AMD 3900X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 6GB Nvidia RTX 2060, Asus Crosshair 7 Hero (Wifi), Linux How to ask useful questions: https://web.archive.org/web/20110214010944/http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 I'm not Dark_Alex, nor do I claim to be. RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
I have not disabled Catalyst AI yet, I will do so now and try again, as well as turning Software Skinning off. Thanks for the tips! I will edit this post in a bit to update you guys with the results.
Update: Playing on version 0.9.8-1365-g1830b1, with Software Skinning off prevents the "My Room" crash. I am able to complete a match in License mode and press X to continue. However, upon completing a match in Story mode, I am prompted to press X to continue, but when I press it, I hear the confirmation sound, but nothing occurs. The animations in the background, and the music continue playing at this time, and I can keep pressing X and can hear the confirmation sound over and over, but I cannot leave the screen. Going into the PPSSPP menu this time does not result in a black screen and display driver crash anymore. I have yet to try with Catalyst AI off, will have time for that later today. Hope this has been of some help! |

RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
I'm currently playing Pangya with PPSSPP PC version 0.9.8. The game has worked fine so far with default setting, not until when I completed Scout's Story mode. Upon the winning celebration in the 5th round, whenever I press the (X) button, the game crashes.
Does anyone have a similar problem to me? Please help. UPDATE: Sorry for not reading all the posts from previous pages, by disabling Fast Memory It doesn't crash, but still it won't let me to continue the game. |

RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
I'm playing this game on verion 0.9.9-2 and I just encountered a bug with getting stuck on OK screen. Where you need to press X to accept the result, but it doesn't work. When I press X, I hear the sound, but nothing else happens. This bug occurs consecutively in any license mission. This makes the game unplayable in my opinion. I mean, you can play story mode or free round, but you can't acquire licenses and so, can't play on tournaments.
Update: after a certain amount of time, if you leave the game on the results screen and then press X, emulator creashes. Fast memory is disabled. My specs: Phenom X3 8450 ~2.3GHz PowerColor HD6850 1GB 4 gigs of DDR2-800 RAM ~400GB HDD Windows 8.0 x64 |

RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
Hence why it's considered "In-game". But yeah, this game has had some regressions.

RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
That list is rarely updated, so it's quite out of date for a lot of games, AFAIK.
