Help with text speed?

Hey I just got corpse party to work with this emulator and I want to speed up the text but no matter what I do I can NOT find the option to do this :/ Does anyone know how? (This is my first time doing this)

The game might not have an option for faster text speed. If you mean speeding up the emulator entirely, then simply use this button if you're using touchscreen controls:

Otherwise, if you're on a PC/Mac, use Tab (it's the default speed up key). If you want to toggle it so it's on until you press it again, use tilde (~/`) instead.

Thanks! and a little side question do you know how to turn off the Japanese speaking? Because I'm doing a lets play on my YouTube channel I I want to be able to read it myself

In Game Settings>More Settings...>Audio, try to set "SFX volume" to 0.
