So I tried hokuto no ken raho gaiden with the latest git and the game works good...I can tell by the sound since the screen is black always....I hope to see the characters soon!!!

When you start the game it asks something in Japanese, probably about save data, after that the menu is black but you can hear some sound.

I pressed circle a few times and got into a fight that functions properly, except the hp bars etc. are missing. So only 3D stuff is visible I guess.



Tested with v0.7.6-151-gf14e5e5 on Xperia Z and v0.7.6-266 on Windows

Tested on android ppsspp version 0.9.1

Still the same results. Black screen on load up.push buttons a bunch and get to fighting part and the game runs great 60fps. But theres no onscreen hud like health and stuff.

Man I wish I could fix this.this is the only game I want to work. I'm clueless when it comed to writing code and stuff:(

I have the same problem using ppsspp v0.9.8 on Windows 7 (x32).
Black screen in the intro and menu. The BGM and Sounds Effects can be heard.
I did the same thing: clicked O until the fight began. There's no HUD on the screen. ( I don't know if there is when using a PSP though ).

So to sum it up, the same problems exist in the PPSSPP v0.9.8 WINDOWS 7 (x32)

Tried on my Android device with Software rendering on (Graphics menu, last option). Frame rate sucks but all menus work. No way to make it stable at this point?

Also tried it in Windows version v0.9.9.1-1001-g8f016d3 32 bit build, and now everything is displayed in black screen except the fighting portion of the game.

As OP said, game works but black screen and you can only hear the sound.
You can get into game my pressing Start and mashing Circle till it gets you to battle but there's no GUI at all.


EDIT: Sound breaks like a broken record sometimes.

Have you tried switching Rendering Backend/Rendering Mode around?
